Overview
Founded in 1983 as a ministry of Faith Lutheran Church, Faith Schools was created to meet the diverse needs of families in the Bellaire community and beyond. We proudly serve children from 3 months through kindergarten, providing an experience that goes beyond traditional childcare.
At Faith Schools, children learn and grow in a nurturing, Christian environment where they are known, valued, and supported each day. Our program is designed to meet the needs of working families while fostering meaningful early learning experiences that support the whole child.
As a program accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, we are committed to the highest standards of early childhood education. Our mission is to help each child discover their God-given capacities as individuals of worth and value, prepared to contribute to the world around them.

Faith Schools is open 7am to 6pm daily, year-round. Families may choose to register for a full or part time schedule depending on availability.
Programs
Infant / Toddler Program
Faith Schools now offers full and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months old. Our Infant and Toddler Program (3 months old to 3 years old) is designed to be a home away from home—where your child is known, loved, and gently guided through their earliest stages of development. We recognize that these first years are incredibly important, and we partner closely with families to provide consistent, responsive care in a nurturing Christian environment.
Each child is cared for in a small class with two dedicated teachers, allowing us to build strong, trusting relationships and truly understand each child’s unique personality, needs, and rhythms. We believe deeply in continuity of care and work intentionally to limit changes in caregivers so that children feel secure, confident, and connected.
Our classrooms use the Experience Curriculum, which supports hands-on learning and meaningful exploration, even for our youngest learners. Teachers observe children regularly and thoughtfully track their development, using tools such as the Ages and Stages Questionnaire twice each year to ensure we are supporting growth in all areas.
We value open, ongoing communication with families. Parent-teacher conferences are offered twice a year, with additional conversations as needed. If we ever notice a potential developmental delay or concern, we walk alongside families with care and support, helping connect them to helpful resources and next steps.
As children grow, so do their opportunities. Toddlers 18 months and older enjoy gross motor enrichment to support their physical development, and all children participate in music enrichment that brings joy, movement, and early exposure to rhythm and sound.
Above all, our program is built on relationships. We strive to create a true sense of family—getting to know not only each child, but each family as well. In our classrooms, children begin to understand that they are loved by God, valued for who they are, and capable of learning and growing in a safe and supportive environment.
Children enrolled in the Infant/Toddler Program must bring their own (nut-free) lunch and snacks. Children 18 months and older may opt-in to our school lunch program for $100 per month but should continue to bring snacks.
Preschool & Bridge Kinder Program
Our Preschool and Bridge Kindergarten Program serves children ages 3 through Kindergarten, providing a thoughtful and supportive environment where children build the academic and social foundations they need for their next school experience.
At Faith Schools, we believe that learning during these years should be meaningful, engaging, and rooted in strong relationships. Our team has carefully designed and refined a curricular framework that supports both academic growth and intentional development of social skills. This framework aligns with the standards and TEKS set forth by the state of Texas, ensuring children are well-prepared for a successful transition into elementary school—most often in our local public schools.
Children learn in small classes of 10–12, led by experienced teachers who thoughtfully plan activities based on both individual needs and the dynamics of the group. This allows each child to be supported, challenged, and encouraged at just the right level. Teachers regularly update parents about each child’s progress through informal conversations, messages in the app and two parent teacher conferences each year.
Each week, children participate in a variety of enriching experiences, including gross motor enrichment twice per week, music, library, STEM, art and religion class. Our faith is an important part of daily life at Faith Schools. All children attend an age-appropriate chapel that loosely follows the order of a Sunday church service. Children actively participate in chapel, helping them build confidence while developing a sense of belonging and understanding of faith traditions.
We also support the whole child by providing a consistent daily routine that includes a nutritious lunch and two snacks, helping children stay energized and ready to learn and play. Meals are prepared on site and are included in the monthly tuition.
Bridge Kindergarten
Our Bridge Kindergarten program is designed for children who would benefit from an additional year in preschool before entering a traditional Kindergarten classroom. This program is ideal for children who have mastered preschool concepts but may need more time to develop the social, emotional, or academic readiness required for the increased expectations of Kindergarten.
Through small class sizes and individualized instruction, children are given the opportunity to grow at their own pace using age-appropriate methods and materials. Success in Kindergarten depends on many factors, and this program provides intentional support in building confidence, independence, and readiness across all developmental areas. Our focus on Executive Function skills prepares children as they transition to a larger classroom environment.
Children who turn five before December 1st are eligible for the Bridge Kindergarten program. Children who have already turned five are also welcome, as teachers are able to differentiate instruction to meet a range of learning needs. Because our curriculum is aligned with Texas Kindergarten standards, children in Bridge Kindergarten continue to build essential skills and may enter either Kindergarten OR 1st Grade.
After School Enrichment
Our After School Enrichment program is designed with busy families in mind. We offer a variety of fun, engaging classes on a seasonal basis—so children can explore new interests and build skills right here at school, without the need to travel to multiple locations after the school day ends.
We partner with trusted, high-quality organizations such as Tippi Toes Dance, Tiny Tigers Kung Fu, Soccer Shots, Jolly Trolley, Doodlebugs Motor Development, and Language Kids – Spanish to bring a wide range of enriching experiences directly to our campus. In addition, our talented teachers often lead their own creative classes, which may include Cooking for Kids, Lego Club, Directed Drawing, Games Galore, Science Fun for Preschool, Slimy Sensory Fun, and Magical Math Adventure.
These classes provide a safe, supportive environment where children can explore new interests, develop skills, and build friendships beyond the classroom. Each enrichment opportunity is designed to encourage confidence, creativity, and joyful learning.
After School Enrichment classes are offered for an additional fee, which may be paid to the school or directly to the enrichment provider, depending on the class. Children in the Preschool/Bridge Kindergarten program and children ages 18 months and older in the Infant/Toddler program are invited to register for classes.
