6TEN Worship Experience Starts June 9

6 May

6TEN small logoA new worship experience is starting at Faith on Sunday, June 9.

We’re calling it 6TEN for a couple of reasons. One, because the experience will begin at 6:10 PM. The name also comes from a story in the Bible about Jesus healing a man with a withered hand. Luke 6:10 says, “After looking around at all of them, he said to him, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was healed.”

We’re tagging 6TEN as “an experience of gratitude and healing.” Through holy communion, anointing with oil, music, and prayer we will lift our hands in thanksgiving for God’s restoration and redemption.

6TEN will happen on:

  • Sunday, June 9 @ 6:10 PM
  • Sunday, July 14 @ 6:10 PM
  • Sunday, August 11 @ 6:10 PM
  • Sunday, September 8 @ 6:10 PM

Everyone is welcome.

Modern Family Message Series in May

30 Apr

Modern Family Graphic

May 5 – “Modern Families…Share Life Together”

The man was all alone, no one to help him in the water.  “Family” is defined by those who share their lives together, helping one another, not by gender or number or blood.

May 12 – “Modern Families…Are Signs of God’s Love”

Families bear witness to the love of God by how they function in the world – at home, at work, at school, in community.

May 19 – “Modern Families…Are Wonderfully Diverse”

Guest Speaker – Bishop Mike Rinehart

Divorce, immigration, abortion, adoption, death – all of these “issues” that sometimes seem so troublesome result in wonderfully diverse families that learn to speak the Spirit’s language of love.

May 26 – “Modern Families…Learn as They Go”

Families don’t come with owner’s manuals or crystal balls, we learn as we go.  Leaning together into the Word of God and the Holy Spirit brings insight, strength, and resiliency among those who share life together as families.
