WELCA
All women who are members of Faith Lutheran Church are also considered to be members of WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America). Women are involved in all aspects of life of Faith Lutheran Church and take part in an annual Thankoffering gathering at a Sunday worship service. There are several organized women’s groups that meet at the church for a variety of purposes including Bible study, fellowship, and service.
Rebecca-Ruth Circle
This circle meets on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM for a Bible study led by one of our pastors. The group also takes part in service projects which include sending cards and Advent booklets to homebound members of Faith, donating time and money to various projects, and helping with food items for Lenten and Advent lunches. The circle also purchases and delivers Christmas gifts to our homebound members. We invite all women to join us.
This multi-generation group of women meets on the second Tuesday of the month except during Advent and Lent where we help serve lunches. We do various tasks around the church and then go out to lunch. Our projects include cleaning and organizing storage, helping Courtney with special projects and helping organize at Faith House. In January we have our pot luck lunch at a members home. It’s a fun way to serve the church, get to know other women and try out some great restaurants.
