Other good news is our plan to resume the 11:00 Gathering service on June 6, which will also be the day that we celebrate 75 Years of Healing – looking back at all the ways that our ministry has brought healing into the lives of people and our surrounding community.
What else can you expect on June 6? For both the 8:30 Heritage and 11:00 Gathering services:
- We will provide paper bulletins for those who want to use them – although many people have discovered how easy it is to use them on their phones or tablets via the downloadable pdf that we send out each Thursday. The “save the trees and save the cost of printing” argument is important but we have decided they are currently out-weighed by the benefits of paper.
- We will return to two continuous lines for receiving Holy Communion.
- We have decided against passing the offering plates in worship. We realized that is the one time when many people will be touching the same thing. Regardless of the extremely limited risk in passing the virus on through surface touch, we decided that it is better safe than sorry throughout the remainder of the summer.
- We will still encourage wearing masks. Sunday worship is a public gathering, therefore we have no way of knowing who will show up nor are we able to limit participation to those who are fully vaccinated. While those who ARE fully vaccinated can now choose to worship with minimal risk even if not wearing a mask, at least through the summer, it seems that masks remain a good idea. And a good public witness.
If you are interested in any of these rolls, please send an email to the church office at info@faithbellaire.org and we will help you get trained and on the schedule.
This Sunday will be the last Sunday that we will use SignUp Genius for Sunday worship. Click here to RSVP for worship. There will be plenty of room at each service to practice personal distancing as we don’t plan on removing the ropes before this fall.
Thank you for your patience and your support. We’ll see you in worship this Sunday and in the celebration of 75 Years of Healing on June 6. Please don’t forget that the food drive for CCSC starts this Sunday, May 30 through June 6. You can deliver the food to the church office during the week from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The Church Office is now open, Monday-Friday, from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Yu Cao will be there to answer your questions and respond to your needs. Our telephones are forwarded at 2:00 PM and we regularly check for messages. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call and ask. We’re here to serve.
God bless each and every one of you. May God keep you safe and healthy and may the Spirit flood your hearts with the peace that passes all understanding.
