Faith Camp Cancellation/Refund Policy: Registrations that are cancelled by April 15, 2023 will receive a 100% refund. Registrations that are cancelled by May 31 will receive a 50% refund. Registrations that are cancelled after June 1, 2022 will forfeit the entire registration fee. Any camper that is unable to attend camp for a medical reason, a doctor’s note will be required and will receive a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee. In the event that Faith Camp is unable to be held due to COVID-19 a full refund will be issued, with the option to donate all or part of the registration fee to Faith Camp. Finally, if Faith Camp must be cancelled after the start of a week of camp, a prorated refund based on the remaining number of camp days will be processed for all campers, with the option to donate all or part to Faith Camp.
Absences & Withdrawals: The Directors reserve the right to dismiss any camper whose influence and conduct becomes detrimental to the best interests of the program. No refunds will be made for dismissed campers or withdrawals. The only exception is for a withdrawal on doctor’s orders, in which case we will prorate a refund based on the remaining days of camp. We are a nonprofit organization and any forfeiture of deposits or fees will be put in our General Donation Fund.
After Care Late Pick-Up Policy: After care at Faith Camp ends at 6:00 PM. If a child has not been picked up at this time, a late charge of $15.00 per child will be assessed. After 6:15 PM, the fee is an additional $1.00 per minute per child. The late fee should be paid in cash to the Camp Manager upon pick-up. Parents must make every effort to pick up children on time. If a late pick-up is unavoidable, parents should notify the church office immediately at (713) 664-3048 ext 307. Parents are asked to leave a voicemail message if no one answers at the office.

GOOD NEWS from the Church Council
We have all been profoundly affected by the pandemic. Our community here at Faith has been profoundly affected. Now is the time for us to look forward, to take stock, to see where we are, and to lean toward the future.
From the beginning of the pandemic, the Faith Church Council has been guided by the advice of the medical community, particularly the Texas Medical Center. Due to the effectiveness of vaccination and the increasing willingness of people to get vaccinated (including young people), the metrics tell us that we are reaching a new stage.
The 11:00 AM Gathering service will return on Sunday, November 28, the First Sunday of Advent. The shape of the service will be different than it was before the pandemic, but the doors will be open, the Word will be proclaimed, and the table set for Holy Communion.
The ropes are gone! We trust that people understand the value of physical distancing and we realize that people have different levels of risk tolerance. Removing the ropes allows the freedom to sit wherever you feel comfortable.
Masks will still be required inside all church buildings, at all times, for those who are unvaccinated or unable to be vaccinated. There are good reasons to wear masks in public spaces so we still encourage people to wear masks, however, masks in worship or small groups will be optional for those who are vaccinated. We have ordered door signs to emphasize this policy shift.
We will open the doors to the Fellowship Room and begin with beverage service as soon as possible. We will not include food – at first – until we get a better sense of our Sunday morning attendance.
We need each other to show up. As we return to worship at 11:00 AM it is VITAL that those of you who prefer that worship time and/or style return to in person worship. Worship is the most important aspect of congregational life. Worship creates the space for Sunday morning fellowship. Worship is the most important window into a congregation for new people.
Two services in English doubles the entry point for new people. That requires that we put our best foot forward – and THAT requires people to attend worship.
This is all good news for us. Hopefully we are moving toward a new day. But we are also aware that viruses mutate. Should we see another large surge and a significant shift in the metrics from the Texas Medical Center, this new Covid policy could change.
Let’s pray for the best as we each do our part to be the best congregation we can be.
