Advent begins on Sunday, December 2. As we wait for Jesus’ birth this season, we invite you to participate in our Advent learning hour each week. Here is the plan…
Toddlers and Pre-Kindergarteners/Kindergarteners – will continue to meet each week in room #301. On December 16, please join us in the sanctuary for their Christmas Pageant.
Elementary Schoolers – will meet for cookies and music in the Faith Center on December 2 & 9, participate in the Christmas Pageant on December 16, and join the Middle Schoolers to make special grace bags on December 23.
Middle School – will continue meeting each week. Their servant projects will include making cookies for our Faith House guests on December 2, caroling at Brighton Gardens on December 9, making homeless lunches on December 16, and helping the Elementary Schoolers make Christmas Grace Bags on December 23.
High School – will continue to meet each week upstairs in the Youth Room located in the Faith Center.
Young Families – will continue meeting regularly in room #122 at the discretion of their leaders and participants, focused on Advent.
Adults – all adults are invited to gather in the Fellowship Hall each week in advent for small group study of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s God is in the Manger – Reflections on Advent and Christmas. The devotion books are on sale in the lobby for $10 or you can download it for Kindle for $7.20.
There will be no Learning Groups on December 30. Please feel free to fellowship with others in our Common Grounds Coffee House on this day.
