We have a special guest speaker this Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church as part of our “Health & Healing for the Holidays” series.
“Coping with Mental Health and Depression,” led by James Skelton will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 10:15 AM.
During the Holiday Season, many people experience the “Holiday Blues.” We sometimes write it off to the stress of family, financials, or just getting everything together to make it the “perfect” day. But seasonal depression is a very real thing that millions of people suffer from, and underneath its symptoms are very real issues of mental illness that may take a myriad of forms. The answers to these problems are very tangible and often spoke of every day to us in our church congregations and Scripture readings—come learn more as James leads us in this study!
James is a counselor intern for the teen and family recovery program, Cornerstone Recovery, that meets at Faith.
